The training meets the latest requirements under TDOK 2018:0372 and is necessary for everyone working on or next to roads where Trafikverket is the client and requires this competence.
During the training, the participant has gained knowledge of:
- Trafikverket's regulations and requirements for APV 2.2
- The role and responsibilities of the person responsible for signage
- Competence in traffic control with road signs, signals, flaggers, barriers and pilots, and handling hazardous situations such as unauthorised passage.
- Knowledge of the requirements for high-visibility clothing, safe positioning and work environment rules for road works.
- Ability to draw up, follow and revise risk analyses and work instructions for safe work.
- Knowledge of installation, supervision and checking of traffic control devices and protective devices.
- Understanding of different types of road works and the processes for setting up, re-establishing and dismantling.
- Competence to quality assure TA plans, drawings and vehicle marking for traffic safety.
- Knowledge of waiting times, handling priority vehicles, and FIFA reporting and the impact on traffic flow.

Legislation and rules: Trafikförordningen (TrF), Vägmärkesförordningen (VMF), Arbetsmiljölagen (AML) and Väglagen.
Trafikverket's rules for traffic control devices and protective devices.
Protective devices and their function: energy-absorbing protection and correct installation.
Safety and risk management: risk assessment, work instructions and placement of protective devices.
Traffic control and traffic signals: handling road signs, flaggers and pilots, and traffic signals.
Communication and leadership: how to lead and instruct assistants with step 1 competence.
Self-inspection and supervision: how to carry out daily supervision and documentation of the work site's traffic control devices.

The training is aimed at contractors, suppliers and workers in construction, operation, service and maintenance on roads where Trafikverket or another road authority requires APV 2.2 training or certification according to APV 2.2.
