About the course.

The training is booked by a work group or organisation, not by individuals. In the LGBTQI certification you work together with our experienced trainers to develop and carry out an action plan for long term inclusion work.

For work groups of 3 to 30 people who want to integrate LGBTQI competence across the whole organisation. We offer several levels of LGBTQI certification to meet the needs of different types of organisations. Small: intended for small groups of up to 8 people. Medium: this certification is aimed at medium sized groups of 9 to 15 people. Large: for larger groups of 16 to 30 people. The process is close to your day to day operations, adapted to your circumstances, and combines training with concrete change work over 2 to 12 months. The LGBTQI certification is a process in which an organisation, with the support of RFSL, starts or strengthens strategic work aimed at creating a good working environment and an LGBTQI competent way of meeting people. The certification is led by RFSL Utbildning's trainers and process leaders and is carried out from norm critical and intersectional perspectives. Employees in the organisation take part in training and in development work that includes an analysis of the organisation and the formulation of goals and actions. The process results in an action plan for three years, which is also the period the LGBTQI certificate is valid. The LGBTQI certification is grounded in norms around gender, sexuality and LGBTQI issues, but our methodology also includes a norm critical and intersectional perspective. This means that in the process we address norms linked to all grounds of discrimination, such as ethnicity, disability, sex, transgender identity or expression, religion, sexual orientation and age. Our aim is to guide you towards a more norm aware perspective, which leads to an open working environment and a better way of meeting people. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels included and welcome.
