AI is rapidly changing working life and opening up new opportunities for project managers to work more efficiently, analyze and make better decisions. In a world where change is constant, AI becomes an essential skill for project managers who want to stay at the forefront. By understanding and using AI in projects you can optimize workflows, automate processes and develop innovative solutions. This course gives you the basic skills and tools you need to integrate AI into projects and strengthen your role as a project manager in a future-proof career. In this intensive course we dive into the fascinating possibilities AI offers for the project management of the future. You gain an understanding of basic AI, such as generative AI and machine learning, so that you can navigate a fast-moving world on your own. With a combination of theory and practical exercises in prompting techniques, you will learn to use general tools for text and image generation, such as ChatGPT and Midjourney. Only your imagination sets the limits for what you can achieve. Today there are thousands of AI tools, and AI functionality is being built into applications you already use every day. We will look at which classes of AI tools exist, and you will learn to find and evaluate tools for your unique challenges yourself, giving you the knowledge to design your own toolbox. We will tackle challenges with AI such as ethics, bias and laws (EU AI Act), giving you the knowledge to navigate the complex questions that often come up when you start working with this technology. All to ensure a responsible integration of AI into your work. Finally, we open up the longer perspectives and discuss how the project manager role may change going forward, where everything you have learned is woven together. During the course you gain a basic understanding of AI and general concepts. Much of the focus will be on exploring the technology, applying it to your own challenges and reflecting together with other course participants. The goal is for your everyday work to become a natural extension of what you learned on the course.
